How to Fund Hedgerows on your Land

We know that many landowners are keen to invest in hedgerows, but lack the time and resources to do so.

We aim to de-mystify the funding options available and how to tap into these.

In January 2025 a group of farmers and land managers from the South West joined us at Fernhill farm- an award winning regenerative farm in the Mendips, to learn all about funding hedgerows. We were joined by guest speaker Megan Gimber, an expert of all things hedgerow from People’s Trust for Endangered Species.

This event gave landowners the opportunity for one-on-one discussion with funders and experts in hedgerow management. As well as learning about funding options available, attendees were taught by local expert Mike Reed about hedgelaying as a method to rejuvenate existing hedgerows.
