Hedgerow Heroes Officer

This is an exciting time to join CPRE Avon and Bristol as our Hedgerow Heroes Officer. We have recently secured funding to work with South Gloucestershire Council to rescue 118km of hedgerow from becoming permanently degraded.

Hedgerows are vital countryside habitats, but machine flailing is taking it’s toll and each year these hedgerows struggle to recover. Through this project we will return to more traditional methods of hedgerow management to allow them to thrive.

We are looking for an energetic, skilled and passionate person to join our small team to lead this exciting new project.

You will have with a strong understanding of habitat restoration and management practices, specifically hedgerows, and you will be confident leading teams of people to complete hedgerow maintenance tasks.

You will be a natural people person, confident working with a range of stakeholders including volunteer, Council Officers, Local Councillors etc to meet shared aims.
